McLaren has officially released the official pricing data on the recently unveiled 650S Coupe and 650S Spider, ahead of their debut in the U.S. which will take place during the New York Auto Show.
The new McLaren 650S Coupe will become available to its future customers in the United States from 265,500 USD, while for the 650S Spider, its future customers will have to pay almost 15,000 USD more, at 280,225 USD. Canadians will have to pay $287,000 for the 650S Coupe and $305,500 for the Spider. Both models are coming with standard items such as the carbon ceramic brakes or Alcantara upholstery.
McLaren has used the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine to power the above mentioned supercars. The unit is rated at 650 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. This has been mated to a seven-speed SSG transmission, which is allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.0 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph). The Spider has the same 0 to 100 km/h time but this can reach “just” 329 km/h (204 mph). The 650S and 650S Spider have been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
