Another McLaren 650S has been crashed, this time in California, after its driver probably lost control of the wheel and slammed his ride into “something”.
Every once in a while we have to take some fresh air and leave the crashed Ferrari 458s aside in order to talk about their rivals too, in our Car Crashes category. The newest addition to it is this particular McLaren 650S, wearing a silver finish on its damaged body. According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the impressive ride has been crashed in Newport Beach, California, after a “bit of crazy driving”. Our source isn’t telling us exactly how the crash occurred so if you happen to know more, please feel free to share.
Meanwhile, we will remind you that the McLaren 650S has been in production since last year, after it has been unveiled officially during the Geneva Motor Show. This is coming as a replacement for the MP4-12C and it is being offered in two body styles, the coupe and the roadster, both of them coming with two seats, a rear mid-engine and a rear-wheel drive layout. Power is being provided by the already familiar twin turbo 3.8 liter V8 engine which is capable of putting down a total out of 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque, in this case. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the 650S needs just 3 seconds and it can go all the way up to 333 km/h (207 mph).
