The brand new British supercar, the McLaren 650S, has been recently taken to the Laguna Seca, in the United States, where it was unleashed around the track.
The newest addition to the British supercar manufacturer McLaren is named the 650S and this has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, last month, in its two body styles, coupe and roadster. The model in question isn’t a replacement for the MP4-12C but it can be considered rather an improved package over the already available supercar. The newest images with the 650S are showing it unleashed on the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca track in California and we’re currently waiting for the video to make its way onto the web too.
The McLaren 650S has received a front fascia similar to the one found on the P1 hybrid supercar, while the rear end resembles the one of the MP4-12C. Compared to the already available vehicle, the 650S is producing 24 percent more downforce, at 150 mph. Power is coming from an updated 3.8 liter V8 engine, which is also used on the MP4-12C and on the P1, which is rated at 651 HP (478 kW) and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. The McLaren 650S can reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
