The company’s unit from Hong Kong decided to greet 2017 with a special event, which brought together a total of 50 different vehicles from the brand for a parade and sightseeing drive.
The convoy stretched across a 22-mile (35-kilometer) long scenic view from the cityscape of Kowloon area to the boulevard in Sai Kung, ending in style at the exclusive facility of Hong Kong Golf & Tennis Academy. The McLaren New Year Parade brought together different generations of supercars from the exotic manufacturer, such as the MP4-12C, 625C, 650S, and 570S, or the newer 570GT and the special series 675LT Coupe and 675LT Spider.
“This is my greatest honor to join the New Year celebration with specially nine units of the world limited 675LT lined up,” said Alan Ing, general manager of McLaren Hong Kong commented. “My heartfelt gratitude to all McLaren owners who supported this special occasion today. This is absolutely an amazing scene of 50 McLarens driving on the roads. It has also become another remarkable moment of McLaren Hong Kong since we established the dealership five years ago.” McLaren also had reason to celebrate the passing of 2016 – as the Woking-based marquee took home a sales record of 3,286 cars – up almost 100 percent compared to 2015. The company also manufactured its 10,000th unit in December – a gray 570S, at the McLaren Production Center.
