A McLaren MP4-12C supercar has recently burst into flames in London, England, for no obvious reasons.
The British based automaker McLaren is trying to play in the big league when it comes to everything and the company seems to go better and better by the day. But if you are worried that an MP4-12C has suddenly burst into flames in London, England, and this will affect its future sales, you should know that in fact the incident will probably increase its sales, considering the fact that spontaneous combustion is found on Italian supercars made by Ferrari or Lamborghini since ancient times.
As a reminder, the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine which is producing a total output of 592 horsepower at 7.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 443 lb-ft available between 3.000 and 7.000 rpm. The engine is allowing the British supercar to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 205 mph. The Corsa tire option cuts down 0.2 seconds from the 0 to 62 mph acceleration time and the supercar can do a quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 134 mph.
