Flames have devoured a new McLaren MP4-12C in London for no obvious reason but the driver has managed to escape unharmed.
If you think that the McLaren MP4-12C isn’t a real supercar because it has no “soul”, like its Italian rivals, think again, because the soul is definitely there and it’s as “hot” as the one in the Ferrari 458 Italia or Lamborghini Aventador. The images posted below stand proof that the McLaren MP4-12C can spontaneously combust too. The incident took place in London, England and the driver apparently managed to save himself.
As a reminder, the 2012 McLaren MP4-12C is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine which is producing a total output of 592 horsepower at 7.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 443 lb-ft available between 3.000 and 7.000 rpm. The engine is allowing the British supercar to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 205 mph. The Corsa tire option cuts down 0.2 seconds from the 0 to 62 mph acceleration time and the supercar can do a quarter mile in 10.9 seconds at 134 mph.
