The driver of a McLaren MP4-12C has managed to completely ruin his ride after pushing the gas pedal too hard and losing control of the wheel.
Another supercar incident has been recorded, this time in Taiwan, and it involves the impressive McLaren MP4-12C. The British supercar has been driven fast and it eventually hit a concrete power pole, destroying the passenger side. The MP4-12C then hit another power pole, on the other side of the street, before finally coming to rest. The driver has been hospitalized and the supercar will end up in the crusher, being completely destroyed. The incident took place back in December, 2013, in Taiwan.
The McLaren MP4-12C has been in production since 2011 and it’s assembled in England, being offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster, with a rear-mid engine and rear-wheel drive layout. Power to the supercar is being provided by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, producing a total output of 592 HP (441 kW) and 601 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, available at 8,500 rpm. 80 percent of the torque is coming from just 2,000 rpm. The unit is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 3 seconds and top speed stands at 333 km/h (207 mph).
