McLaren has recently opened a showroom in Kuala Lumpur, where the MP4-12C and 12C Spider were launched, and the impressive P1 hypercar has made its local debut.
Malaysians can now order the new McLaren MP4-12C and 12C Spider from the Kuala Lumpur showroom, where the Coupe costs RM2,036 million while the Convertible RM2.2 million, with taxes included. Both supercars are getting the same 3.8 liter twin turbocharged V8 engine under their hoods, which is good for 625 PS and 600 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a 7-speed SSG dual clutch transmission, sending power to the rear wheels. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 3.1 seconds and top speed stands at 333 km/h in the Coupe and 329 km/h in the Spider.
Besides the launch of the two MP4-12C and 12C Spider supercar, McLaren has also introduced the P1 hypercar to the Asian country. The model in question has been officially presented to the public during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, back in March, in its final production version, and it’s now rumored that it’s the fastest ever production car to lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife. The vehicle is powered by a 3.8L twin turbo V8, backed up by an electric motor. The total output stands at 913 PS and 900 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 2.8 seconds and a 350 km/h top speed.
