New details have emerged on the McLaren P1 which has been crashed recently in Dallas, Texas.
Last week, we were telling you about the first serious crash in which a McLaren P1 has been involved and now we are bringing you back to that article as new details on the subject have emerged. As it turns out, the 27-year old owner of the McLaren P1 has had it for less than 24 hours before the crash. He picked up his ride from the Dallas-based luxury car dealership Park Place Premier Collection and at 7:41 A.M., the next day, responders were being called to the scene of the crash.
According to the responders, the driver has lost control of the wheel after hitting a wet patch, on McKinnon street, and then slammed into a guardrail. Considering the fact that the hybrid supercar has been almost entirely destroyed, we can dare to say that some serious speed was involved too. The 27-year old driver and the 24-year old passenger have been taken to the Parkland Hospital, with minor injuries. Keep in mind that only 375 units of the P1 have been produced and each one costs 1.15 million USD.
