A new image with the crashed McLaren P1 has made its way onto the web, revealing the totaled 1-million USD supercar.
One day ago we were reporting that the first McLaren P1 has been totaled after an unfortunate incident, in Dallas, Texas, and now we have to go back to that initial article as a new image has popped onto the web. The cause of the crash is still unknown but one thing is for sure, the hybrid supercar is not salvageable so this means that this is a 1-million dollar wreck. Hopefully the insurance will cover the expenses but at this time, there are 374 units of the P1 left.
The McLaren P1 is the fastest and most powerful vehicle ever created by the company and this is also its first hybrid supercar. It packs the same engine as the MP4-12C and the 650S, the 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo, under its hood, which has been tweaked out and it is now more powerful. This is backed up by an electric motor and the total output produced stands at an impressive 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque. This is enough to allow the supercar to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in just 2.8 seconds and to go all the way up to a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
