McLaren has recently launched a new interactive website for the P1, which has been dubbed Designed by Air.
The newest supercar in McLaren’s lineup, the P1, is ending up in our news once again, after it was officially unveiled during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, a couple of months ago, this time with the launch of a new website, dubbed Designed by Air. The website is following the launch of a video with the same name, which was talking about the P1’s design.
As a quick reminder, the McLaren P1 is powered by a 3.8 liter V8 engine, the same one used on the MP4-12C and on the 12C Spider. The unit is now producing 747 HP and 720 Nm of torque, mated to an electric motor which is providing an extra 179 HP and 260 Nm of torque. The total output stands at 916 HP. The McLaren P1 is the company’s first ever production vehicle and the model is rivaling supercars like the brand new Ferrari LaFerrari and the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder. The P1 will be produced in just 375 units worldwide
