McLaren has recently released the first interior images with the much awaited P1 GTR.
After being officially unveiled not too long ago, the McLaren P1 GTR is now being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some new images which have been released by the British based automaker. The photos posted below are showing, besides that impressive look of the track vehicle, the interior design of the model. From the start we can see the steering wheel similar to the one of the 2008 McLaren MP4-23, with a lot of buttons and switches, the DTM style racing seats with the HANS approved carbon fiber seat shell, the six-point harness and several other tweaks.
McLaren says that the driver’s seat will be specifically setup and it will be mounted directly onto the chassis, in order to reduce weight. The McLaren P1 GTR is more aerodynamically than its street legal version and it has an 80 mm increased front track, a GT style front splitter, different radiator ducts, roof scoop and several other tweaks. Power will be coming from the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine and electric motor and it should stand at approximately 1,000 HP (736 kW). The estimated starting price for the P1 GTR will stand at 3.35 million USD.
