The very first images with the production version of the McLaren P1 have recently hit the web revealing the supercar ahead of its public debut during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next week.
After we have seen the concept car a few months ago in Paris, and with the British based automaker presenting it in the Middle East, time has come for the final production version of the McLaren P1 to make its way into our news. The images posted below may look official but they have leaked showing what the supercar will look like once it will be unveiled during the Swiss automotive event on the 5th of March.
The McLaren P1 in question is finished in a bright yellow paint and it has carbon air vents, a tighter mesh and it’s sitting on street tires. Details on its hybrid powertrain are known and the supercar will get a total output of 916 HP (674 kW). The petrol unit will be a modified version of the 3.8 L V8 twin turbo found on the MP4-12C and on the 12C Spider, generating 747 HP (542 kW) and 720 Nm of torque (531 lb-ft). The engine is mated to an electric motor which is generating an extra 179 HP (132 kW) and 260 Nm of torque (192 lb-ft). More details on the P1 will be announced in Geneva.
