McLaren P1 shown on the Bahrain International Circuit image

The British based automaker McLaren has recently released more images with the P1 supercar at the Bahrain International Circuit, ahead of its launch in the UAE.

The McLaren P1 is probably the most important creation to come from the British company, after the iconic F1, and in order to place it into the spotlights once again, the carmaker has released more images with it. The photos posted below have been taken on the Bahrain International Circuit recently and they will mark the launch of the hypercar into the United Arab Emirates, right after its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, next month.

As a quick reminder, the McLaren P1 is the official successor of the iconic F1 supercar. The new British model will get the same 3.8 liter V8 engine under its hood as the MP4-12C or the 12C Spider, but the version used on the supercar will be tweaked in order to produce an extra 120 HP. Rumors are saying that the McLaren P1 will target the Bugatti Veyron in terms of top speed and it will be the fastest accelerating car in the world. Additional details on the final production version of the British supercar are limited for the moment.
