The McLaren P1 has been spotted recently in Illinois where the supercar was parked along an MP4-12C in a garage.
After it was officially presented to the public during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, back in September, the McLaren P1 is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new image which is revealing the supercar parked next to its brother, the MP4-12C, in a garage. The model in question is still a concept but the carmaker said that the final production version will be 97 percent similar to this. The McLaren P1 is expected to enter production this year and the first deliveries should start in the second half of 2013.
As a quick reminder, the McLaren P1 is the official successor of the iconic F1 and the model will be placed above the MP4-12C and the 12C Spyder in terms of both performance and price, but even so, the model will get the same engine as its brothers mentioned above, the 3.8 liter turbo, which should produce an extra 120 HP. The McLaren P1 will challenge the Bugatti Veyron in terms of top speed and the automaker is saying that this will be the fastest accelerating car in the world. The final production version of the P1 is expected to be unveiled in Geneva this year but if you have your eyes on one, you should hurry up and place a deposit, because only 500 units of the model are rumored to be produced.
