The McLaren P1 supercar has been recently spied in France where the model was being tested.
After the concept version of the McLaren P1 has been officially presented to the public a couple of months ago during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of some spy images, which are revealing the supercar testing in France. The model in question is a pre-production version on which McLaren has been working over the following months but the final variant of the supercar is expected to make its public debut sometimes next year, during an international automotive event.
The McLaren P1 will be placed above the MP4-12C and the 12C Spyder in terms of both performance and price, but even so, the model will get the same engine as its brothers mentioned above, the 3.8 liter turbo, which should produce an extra 120 HP. The McLaren P1 is challenging the Bugatti Veyron in terms of top speed and the company is saying that this will be the fastest accelerating car in the world. The McLaren P1 is considered to be the official successor of the iconic F1. For More spy photos you can check out autoweek.nl.
