McLaren P1 to be used on 2014 Gumball 3000 image

A brand new and very rare McLaren P1 will be used in the 2014th edition of the Gumball 3000 rally and this will definitely be one of the hottest, if not the hottest rides ever used in the “competition”.

Team Galag managed to stole all the attention last year when they used a Batman Tumbler replica and the Nissan GT-R based TG1 supercar and this year they might receive all the attention once again because they are planning to race a brand new, very rare and very expensive McLaren P1. The supercar in question is pictured above and it will be covered in Gumball 3000 unique liveries, making it even more eye-catching.

The final production version of the McLaren P1 has been officially unveiled during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and it’s being assembled in Woking, Surrey, England, being offered in a two-door coupe body style. This is the company’s first hybrid supercar and it’s using a 3.8L twin turbo V8 petrol burner, backed up by an electric motor. The total output produced stands at 903 BHP and 978 Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which is sending power to the rear wheels. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes just 2.8 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 350 km/h (217 mp).
