The brand new McLaren P1 hypercar has been recently brought to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it made its dynamic debut.
Originally introduced back in March, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, and then brought to several automotive events across the globe, the McLaren P1 is ending up in our news once again, this time with the supercar making its dynamic debut during the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed, over the past weekend. The McLaren P1 will only be produced in 375 units and its starting price will be set at 1,025,545 euros (866 GBP / 1,340,740 USD), at the current exchange rates.
The model is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine, the same one used on the MP4-12C and 12C Spider, backed up by an electric motor, providing an extra 170 HP (132 kW) and 260 Nm of torque (192 lb-ft). The total output produced stands at 916 HP (674 kW) and 900 Nm of torque (663 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is over in 3 seconds and top speed has been limited to 350 km/h (217 mph). The McLaren P1 is rivaling the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
