The British based automaker McLaren is planning to offer the brand new P13 sports car in no less than three body styles, once it will be hitting the market.
The upcoming McLaren P13 sports car will be offered in three body styles. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet, but according to a report published by the guys at Car and Driver, the model in question will also be coming with a GT version, which will get a rear luggage compartment. This will stand besides the already planned coupe and convertible, becoming true Porsche rivals.
The McLaren P13 will be following the footsteps of its larger brother, the 650S, being believed that this will be adopting a similar front fascia as the recently unveiled supercar. The model in question will basically be the company’s new entry-level sports car, sitting below the already available 650S and this should keep its price, power and weight down too. Rumors are saying that the new sports car might come with as much as 500 HP (373 kW) from the same 3.8 liter V8 twin turbo engine but this will most likely produce 450 HP (335 kW) once it will make its way under the hood of the P13.
