McLaren will be officially presenting the upcoming P13 sports car during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March.
Details on the McLaren P13 have been around for quite a few months now and after it was spied numerous times, the upcoming entry-level sports car is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the company announcing its debut during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The model in question will become a direct rival to the Porsche 911 and it will be lighter, smaller and less powerful than the MP4-12C, despite using the same 3.8 liter V8 engine.
The McLaren P13 is said to produce between 450 and 500 HP, out of the above mentioned unit, which should be sent to the rear-wheel drive through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The same engine, but upgraded, can also be found in the new P1 hybrid supercar. Prices for the ne McLaren P13 are believed to start at 120,000 GBP, which is the equivalent of 145,500 EUR or 198,900 USD. Additional details on the upcoming sports car are limited for the moment and will probably be announced during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
