The British based automaker McLaren is planning to introduce a brand new supercar sometimes next year, which will come as an entry-level to the current lineup and it should get approximately 500 HP.
After officially pulling the wraps off some brand new models over the past few years, such as the 12C Spider, the P1, the 650S and 650S Spider, the car manufacturer is currently getting ready to start developing a brand new supercar, which will actually be the cheapest and slowest one available. The model in question is believed to be already in development and it’s rumored to be named the P13.
The brand new McLaren P13 will slot below the MP4-12C in terms of performance and price and this should become a direct competitor for models such as the Porsche 911. The new supercar should be hitting the market sometimes next year and it’s said to come in two body styles, coupe and convertible, and it will get a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, with a 3.8 liter V8 under its hood, tuned to produce approximately 500 HP. The 0 to 60 mph sprint should take about 4 seconds and top speed should be in the region of 185 mph.
