The British based automaker McLaren is planning to develop a new entry-level supercar, which might be named the P13.
After showing us the successor of the iconic F1, the P1, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, just a few weeks ago, McLaren is now entering our news once more, this time with a new supercar. The model in question is a simple rumor at the moment but this rumor is saying that it will hit the market as an entry-level supercar, which might be named the P13. The McLaren P13 will be slotted below the current MP4-12C and its drop-top brother, and it should cost less than 200,000 USD.
Its starting price means that it won’t cannibalize the MP4-12C, because this is priced from 250,000 USD. A detuned version of the 3.8 liter V8 twin-turbo used on the MP4-12C and 12C Spider will make its way under its hood, which should be good for approximately 500 HP (368 kW). The design language might be borrowed from the P1. Rumors are saying that McLaren will launch the P13 sometimes next year. Additional details on the future McLaren entry-level supercar remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced close to its debut.
