The British based automaker McLaren has just slowed down the production of one the greatest supercars out there, the MP4-12C, because of some quality issues which may include the doors, electronic, headlights and even the immobilizer, brake lines or navigation systems.
Rumors that McLaren has slowed down the production of the MP4-12C supercar have been confirmend by the North American division of the automaker, through the voice of Tony Joseph, the director.
“We’ve had some quality-related issues in a few cars and we wanted to address before we continue to deliver customer cars. We want to make sure we deliver a proper product to our customers and I would rather delay getting them in customers’ hands by a couple of weeks if I can ensure a better product”, as Tony Joseph told autoweek.com.
Even if the British based automaker didn’t say what kind of issues have slowed down the production of the MP4-12C, rumors are that the supercar has some problems with the locking doors, the draining battery, condensation in the headlamps or even with the immobilizer, brake lines and navigation system.
McLaren didn’t say if owners of the MP4-12C will have to make a trip back to the dealerships but this production slowing down may be the first step into a supercar recall which will cost a lot of money and future customers of the British automaker’s vehicles may end up buying from the competition.
