The British based car company McLaren is apparently planning to offer the upcoming Sports Series entry-level model in at least four versions.
The McLaren Sports Series is a few months away from its official unveil but that doesn’t mean that reports can stop for the moment because more and more ones are starting to pop onto the web. The brand new sports car is believed to be offered in at least four versions, according to a recent report, out of which we will be able to check out the regular coupe, the open-top spider, which will shed its fixed roof, a more powerful model, with the GTR badges on its body and even a grand tourer, which will focus on additional storage space and comfort.
Changes will not be stopping here because the carmaker is also believed to be offering a fifth model, the GT3, which will basically be a track racer. More official details on the McLaren Sports Series are limited for the moment but initial rumors were saying that the sports car will be getting a design similar to the ones of the P1 and 650S and the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine will be shared, also, but this will be slightly less powerful in the new entry-level model. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the vehicle will need approximately 4 seconds. The official debut of the Sports Series is believed to be made at the 2015 New York Auto Show, this April.
