No, this is not the next generation P1 GTR, nor the upcoming spiritual successor to the famed McLaren F1, it’s just a concept that’s literally too good to be true – so it’s only becoming of the virtual game reality.
Called Ultimate Vision GT, this new McLaren has been exclusively conceived for the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport video game. Fitted with the biturbo 4.0-liter V8 engine but in a hybrid setup, the new concept has 1,150 horsepower – thanks to virtual new electric motors fitted in each of the front wheels. The hybrid powertrain also has an up-front massive torque of 1,275 Newton-meters (940 pound-feet). We could say the Ultimate Vision GT is just a vision of a high-performance McLaren from the year 2030 and beyond but we’re also treating it as a preview – just remember how the Chiron was previewed by another Gran Turismo virtual machine.
The Gran Turismo Sport players even have more than one configuration – Performance, Ulterior and Noir – each sporting its own livery. With this being a pixel machine, there’s no limit for the McLaren imagination – carbon fiber is present not just in the chassis, but also in the body and upper structure to deliver a dry weight of 1,000 kilograms (2,204 pounds). Everything – hypothetically, of course – has been envisioned for performance, down to the last aerodynamic tweak.
