The German based automaker Volkswagen has officially presented to the public the 3-door version of the Gol during the 2012 Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil.
As you may have already figured it out, the 2013 Volkswagen Gol three-door is based on the five-door version and this variant is adopting a familiar styling but it’s actually distinguished by two side doors and fixed rear windows. The interior design of the three-door Volkswagen Gol is also being carried over with the same simplistic design and mediocre materials, but the most notable highlights include the circular air vents, the gloss black trim or the metallic accents.
“Thomas Schmall, President and CEO von Volkswagen do Brasil, together with Brazilian national player and superstar Neymar, revealed the new Gol as a two-door car in a world premiere. The Gol, of which over seven million units have been produced, has been the undisputed best-selling car in Brazil for the past 25 years”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
No performance details have been announced on the three-door version of the VW Gol but the model is expected to get the 1.0 liter engine under its hood with 72-76 HP And 95-104 Nm of torque, along with the 1.6L with 101-104 HP and 151-153 Nm of torque. Additional details on the 2013 VW Gol 3-door will be announced later on this year.
