Chevrolet has pulled the wraps off the 2014 Corvette Stingray at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as part of the company’s 60th anniversary.
The new 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition is based on the top of the line 3LT Coupe and it has a Laguna Blue Metallic exterior with a carbon fiber roof, Torque-style chrome rims with the stingray logos on them, Brownstone sueded microfiber interior with an individually numbered plaque, carbon fiber trim, Stingray branded sill plates, special floor mats and more. The vehicle also has the magnetic ride control and it’s fitted with the Z51 Performance Package.
Power to the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition is being provided by a 6.2 liter LT1 V8 engine, which is producing a total output of 460 HP (343 kW) and it has a peak torque of 465 lb-ft (630 Nm. The unit is mated to a seven-speed manual transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds. The quarter mile is done in 12 seconds. The production of the car will be limited to 500 units and its price list should be announced soon.
