The 2016 Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is the newest model to join the Alpina lineup and it will be offered for sale soon.
The brand new 2016 Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe has been officially unveiled by BMW USA. The model in question has received some subtle BMW enhancements and it is also benefiting from the development made by Alpina. The four-door coupe is instantly recognizable and it is now bringing a more aerodynamic front spoiler, a slightly revised BMW kidney grille, Alpina hood character lines, LED adaptive headlights with the High Beam assist, blue brake calipers and several other tweaks which should put some space between it and the current variant.
The 2016 Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe is taking its power from the 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is now capable of producing an extra 60 HP (45 kW) and 67 Nm (50 lb-ft) compared to the 2015 model year. The total output of the unit has been taken to an impressive 600 HP (447 kW) and 799 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque, which is sent to the xDrive all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed automatic transmission. From 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h), the impressive four-door coupe needs just 3.6 seconds and the top speed has been electronically limited to “just” 200 mph (321 km/h). The model has received the Dynamic Damper Control, Adaptive Drive, improved braking system and so on. The 2016 Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe will be offered for sale from March, 2015, and its pricing will be announced then. U.S. deliveries will begin in June.
