A facelifted version of the DS5 has been offered recently and the most significant change is the drop of the Citroen name.
The newest addition to the DS lineup is this 2016 DS5. The model in question has dropped the Citroen logos from it and it has been officially unveiled, ahead of its public debut which will be taking place at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, on the 3rd of March. The new DS5 is coming with a new Ink Blue paint finish, with a fresh front fascia, with the sculpted grille, the DS monogram in the center, the xenon LED headlights flanking it, the sequential turn indicators inspired by the ones of the DS3 and several other tweaks.
At the rear of the model we can notice the revised headlights and the dual chrome exhaust tips which have been incorporated into the bumper while the side profile is adding some chrome. The cabin of the car has received the Mirror Screen technology which basically means that the smartphone content can be shown on the touch screen display. Other goodies also include the massaging front seats with memory function, electrochrome interior mirror, keyless entry, keyless start, heated side mirrors, dual zone air conditioning, Denon audio system and a new color touch drive interface eliminating 12 physical buttons.
The engine lineup of the 2015 DS5 includes the THP 165 with its 165 HP (121 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, along with the BlueHDi 120 with 120 HP (88 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque, mated to the same manual or an optional 6-speed transmission, or the BlueHDi 180 with its 180 HP (133 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The hybrid all-wheel drive diesel model has been carried over.
