The Donto P1 has been officially presented to the public, in its final production form, in a world premiere, during the 2013 Buenos Aires Motor Show.
The Donto P1 is a direct rival for models like the Ariel Atom and the KTM X-Bow and it has been developed by Lucas Lopez. The model has been made from a combination of Kevlar, carbon fiber and reinforced polymer and its stainless steel chassis is homologated by FIA. The Donto P1 is 3,850 mm ling, 1,050 mm tall and 1,920 mm wide, riding on a 2,500 mm wheelbase.
Power to the Donto P1 is provided by a 2.0 liter FSI engine, sourced from Audi, which is producing a total output of 300 HP (223 kW). The 630 kg (1,389 lbs) vehicle is riding on 18-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in Pirelli tires, and it has a small Plexiglas windscreen and a removable steering wheel. The company says that if the demand will be high enough, the Donto P1 will enter a limited production. Its official starting price is expected to be set between 55,000 and 75,000 USD.
