Fiat has released more official images and details with the 500E ahead of the models official debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
After it was unveiled just a few weeks ago and announced for the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Fiat 500E is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the Italian based automaker releasing yet more images and details with the model ahead of its public debut. The Fiat 500E will share the same space at the Los Angeles Auto Show with its brothers, the Fiat 500C and the Fiat 500L.
The Fiat 500E is getting an electric motor under its hood, which is good for 111 HP and 147 lb-ft of torque. The 24 kW battery pack is providing an estimated range of more than 80 miles. Charging the battery on a typical 240-volt outlet will take less than four hours. Smart phone applications, for Android and iPhone, are available for the 500E. The bodywork of the “green” Fiat model has a 13-percent improvement in aerodynamics with resculpted mirror caps and rear spoiler and other minor tweaks. More details on the Fiat 500E will be announced during the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
