Following a series of teaser images, Ford has officially pulled the wraps off the Falcon XR6 and XR8.
The last Ford Falcon ever to be developed is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the car manufacturer officially pulling the wraps off its body. The model in question has been described as the “best Falcon ever” and this is basically a facelift, which is getting a new front fascia, LED infused headlights, a trapezoidal front grille, a new boot lid, an integrated spoiler and new LED taillights, amongst others, which should be enough to help it stand out from a crowd.
The Falcon XR8 is also getting a rear diffuser, a power dome hood, black mirror caps, a four-tailpipe exhaust system and 5-spoke alloy wheels. As we are already used to, Ford has declined to release performance specifications on the updated Falcon but this is said to get a variety of engines under its hood, which will include a four-cylinder EcoBoost, a 6-cylinder naturally aspirated unit, a turbocharged six-cylinder, a V8 an even an EcoLPi unit. The 2015 Ford Falcon will go on sale in Australia in the fourth quarter and its price list will be announced close to this date.
