Hennessey has released the first official details and images with the upcoming Venom F5 which will have an estimated top speed of 290 mph (466.71 km/h).
After telling you about the Hennessey Venom F5 just a few hours ago, time has come to finally meet the new contender for the top speed world record. The model in question will be coming with an aerodynamic body kit, with a drag coefficient of 0.40. The vehicle will be getting a specifically designed underbody, a rear diffuser and a retractable rear wing, which will be providing the necessary downforce.
The Venom F5 will be taking its power from a 7.0 liter V8 twin turbo engine, which in the Venom GT is good for 1,244 HP (928 kW), but thanks to the increased size of the turbochargers and the upgraded fuel system and intercooler, the engineers have managed to squeeze no less than 1,400 HP (1,044 kW). Thanks to the 1,300 kg weighing body, the Texas based tuning company is estimating that the Venom F5 will be able to reach a top speed of 290 mph (466.71 km/h), which should make it even faster than the Koenigsegg One:1.
The Lotus Exige based car will be offered with a single-clutch paddle shift gearbox and it will be fully revealed in 2015. Deliveries will begin towards the end of 2016 but if you are already attracted into this impressive sports car, keep in mind that only 29 units will be produced and each one will cost 1.2 million USD, before tax.
