The very first images and details with the brand new Kia Pro Cee’d GT have been recently released by the carmaker ahead of the model’s public debut scheduled for 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The Kia Pro Cee’d GT is a high performance version of the new Kia Cee’d generation and the model will be officially presented to the public in a couple of months, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March. The South Korean based automaker has given the Kia Pro Cee’d GT an aggressive design which is highlighted by the bigger air intakes, by the new front bumper, by the honeycomb grille, by the LED headlights, by the redesigned rear bumper, by the beefier side skirts and by some other tweaks.
When compared to the standard version of the popular South Korean hatchback, the Kia Pro Cee’d GT is getting a lower and a stiffer suspension, along with larger disc brakes with red calipers and 18-inch alloy wheels. The interior design of the model has received a new trim, Recaro sport seats and aluminum pedals, amongst others. The most important part of the Pro Cee’d GT is found under its hood where the 1.6 liter turbocharged engine is resting. The unit is providing an estimated 200 HP (149 kW) and 265 Nm of torque (195 lb-ft). This is enough to allow the hot hatch to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.9 seconds. The model will enter production in May and it should be priced from 24,000 – 25,000 euros.
