Lamborghini has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the drop top version of the Aventador, named the Roadster.
The public life of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster has started a few months ago with rumors which were saying that the supercar is currently in development and after the secret has been well kept and we couldn’t manage to spot the model without any camouflage on its body, the Italian based automaker has finally pulled the wraps off of it. According to the car company, this is actually the first variant of Lamborghini Aventador Roadster and the model is wearing the LP 700-4 in its name.
The Lamborghini Aventador Roadster is coming with removable panes, an exclusive color and lighter wheels. The engine cover of the supercar has been revised with see through windows, black accents can be found around the windshield and seat surrounds and a fresh set of staggered forged aluminum wheels, 18 pounds lighter than the standard ones, have been added. Power is being provided by the same 6.5 liter V12 engine found in the Coupe, which is producing the same 690 HP. The unit is mated to a seven-speed automated manual transmission, which is allowing the Aventador Roadster to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3 seconds (2.9 for the Coupe) before reaching a top speed of 217 mph. Prices for the model have been set at 381,000 USD.
