The first ever image with the upcoming Lamborghini Cabrera has recently made its way onto the web, ahead of the supercar’s debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Italian based automaker Lamborghini is currently developing the successor of the Gallardo and the first image ever has hit the web recently, showing the exterior design of the new supercar. The image posted above is revealing a Lamborghini supercar with a lot of camouflage on its body, but we can still see the big and angular headlights, the steeply raked windscreen and the massive air vents in the front and on the sides.
The Lamborghini Cabrera is expected to be powered by an updated version of the current 5.2 liter V10 naturally aspirated engine, which should produce a total output of 600 HP (447 kW) and 541 Nm of torque (400 lb-ft). Gallardo’s successor should weigh less than 1,500 kg and rather than using the same platform from the Aventador, as originally planned, Lamborghini will actually continue on the same path as the R8 and share a lot of components with the German supercar. A concept version of the Cabrera is expected to be unveiled in September, during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
