McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has officially unveiled a Satin Volcano Red P1.
The McLaren P1 is still catching the attention of MSO as the company’s special division has officially unveiled a Satin Volcano Red finished unit of the hybrid supercar. The model in question has the appealing body paint and it has been also fitted with a 24-carat gold plated exhaust heat shield, as a reminder to its spiritual predecessor, the F1, along with several glossy highlights and so on. The cabin of the hybrid supercar is also coming in with the same finish for the cabin which is noticeable on the center stack and the stitching.
The same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine is found under its hood as the one on the standard ride, which is still rated at 727 HP and 719 Nm of torque. This is backed up by an electric motor, developed in-house, generating 176 HP and 260 Nm of torque. The total output stands at a whopping 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The P1 has a 324-cell lithium-ion battery pack located behind the cabin. The EV range is 31 km (19 miles) and the total range of the car stands at 530 km (330 miles). The combined fuel economy is standing in at 13L / 100km. The model needs 2.8s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it can go all the way up to 350 km/h (217 mph).
