The new generation of the Honda Accord has been officially revealed by the Japanese based automaker in both Sedan and Coupe body styles.
After being caught by spy photographers over the last months, the new generation of the Honda Accord is finally here and it’s almost ready to take on the 2013 Ford Fusion. The first images with the 2013 Honda Accord Sedan and Accord Coupe were released on Wednesday and they are a signal for the end of a conservative style of the car company and the beginning of a life or death battle with the new generation of the Ford Fusion.
“The 2013 Accord’s styling is expressive, sophisticated and premium”, as Honda said in a statement. “Smart interior packaging allows for increased passenger and cargo space in both the sedan and coupe, while the overall exterior lengths are noticeably shortened, contributing to a sportier driving character and easier parking.”
The 2013 Honda Accord will be offered with a choice of three different engines, the new 2.4 liter inline four-cylinder with direct injection producing at least 181 HP mated to a CVT or a six-speed manual, which will be offered for the entry-level version, a 3.5 liter V6 with its at least 271 HP, mated to a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission and a plug-in hybrid which will use a 2.0 liter i-VTEC Atkinson four-cylinder and an electric CVT. More details and images will be released shortly.
