Lamborghini has recently pulled the wraps off the brand new Gallardo Squadra Corse, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The Italian based automaker Lamborghini may try to pull the plug on the Gallardo, one of the most successful supercars ever, after a lot of production years, in order to make room for its replacement, the so-called Cabrera, but until this will happen, the Gallardo is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new special edition, named the Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Squadra Corse.
The brand new Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse is based on the Gallardo Super Trofeo and it comes with some carbon fiber components, with tri-color stripes and gloss black accents. Changes applied onto the cabin are limited and they include the carbon fiber trim, racing seats, special Squadra Corse badging, Alcantara wrapped dashboard and alloy pedals. Power to the Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse is provided by a V10 engine which is producing a total output of 570 HP (419 kW). The unit is mated to a six-speed e-gear transmission, which is allowing the supercar to sprint in 3.4 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.4 seconds and to reach a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
