Jaguar has officially unveiled a one-off F-Type R Coupe which will be used as a support vehicle for Tour de France.
The model pictured below has been created by JLR’s SVO (Special Vehicle Operations) and it will be used in the Tour de France, as a support vehicle. The sports car will be supporting Team Sky and it will be seen during stage 20 of the 2014 Tour de France when riders will be covering the 54 km (34 miles) distance from Bergerac to Perigueux, this Saturday.
“Jaguar has extended its support as an Innovation Partner to Team Sky by designing, engineering and building a bespoke F-TYPE Coupé high performance support vehicle for the team to use during Stage 20 of the race”, said the carmaker in its official press release.
The one-off Jaguar F-Type R Coupe has received the Team Sky’s livery and some other graphic design features which have been implemented in the cabin, along with the bespoke racking solution for carrying two bikes. The model is also fitted with a separate electric supply in the trunk which is offering power to microphones, amplifiers, radios, horns and so on. Power is being provided by a 5.0 liter V8 supercharged engine, rated at 550 HP (404 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque.
