The brand new Radical SR8 RSX has been officially unveiled on the Circuit de Barcelona, in Spain, in a premiere.
Radical’s newest creation is called the SR8 RSX and this has been officially unveiled on the famous Circuit de Barcelona, in Spain. The model in question is basically a high performance race car which will be launched in 2015, coming in with a composite body, a tubular steel chassis, some lightweight 17-inch wheels and several other tweaks to help it stand out.
“Radical Sportscars today announces the SR8 RSX, the Peterborough manufacturer’s most advanced, powerful and aerodynamically-developed open racing car yet. The SR8 RSX is Radical’s new flagship racing car offering an experience closer to LMP competition than ever before – at a purchase and running cost far below the competition”, said the company in its official press release.
The new Radical SR8 RSX is taking its power from a 3.0 liter V8 engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 440 HP (328 kW) and it has a peak torque of 379 Nm (280 lb-ft). This is sent to the wheels through the 7-speed paddle shift transmission. The 860 kg racer will be starting from 109,950 GBP, without VAT. More details on it are limited for the moment.
