Renault has pulled the wraps off the facelifted version of the Duster recently which will be sold in several markets across the globe.
Just a few months after the Dacia Duster facelift has made its public debut, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, time has come to meet Renault’s version of the budget SUV. The model in question is coming with the French based automaker’s badges on its exterior and in the cabin and we can see the simpler chrome grille and that’s about all. The headlights are carried over from the Dacia model, we can spot the roof rails, the 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Mud and Snow tires and the taillights.
As far as the cabin goes, the facelifted version of the Renault Duster has received upgrades such as the steering integrated controls, the new center console with the company’s own infotainment system, a new instrument cluster, an armrest with a storage box and, based on the images posted below, Renault has carried over the new color which was available for the Dacia version before.
We have no clue whether Renault will bring the new 1.2 liter turbo gasoline engine found on the facelifted Dacia Duster, with its 123 HP and 250 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, but one thing is for sure, the low-cost SUV will still get the 1.6 liter 16-valve unit, with 104 HP, along with the two outputs of the 1.5 liter dCi diesel, in two outputs, with 90 HP and 110 HP, mated to the 5-speed manual transmission. More details on the facelifted Renault Duster remain unknown for the moment.
