Skoda has recently unveiled the new Rapid Spaceback version after the model has been teased over these past few weeks.
The brand new Skoda Rapid Spaceback is coming with different C and D pillars and the model can now be fitted with a panoramic tinted glass roof. At the rear end of the car, we can see the roof mounted spoiler. The model’s cargo volume stands at 415 liters with the seats up and once the rear seats are folded, this can increase to 1,380. The Rapid Spaceback has been shortened by 180 mm but this is still offering the highest figures in its class when speaking of rear legroom, 64 mm, and headroom 980 mm.
The Skoda Rapid Spaceback has been fitted with safety features like the ABS, ESC, front, side and head airbags, height adjustable head restraints and much more. The model is also fitted with fog lights with cornering function, tire pressure control, xenon headlights, hill hold control and a double cargo floor in the trunk, available as an option. As for the engine lineup, the European version will get a choice of four gasoline and two diesels, varying from 74 HP (55 kW) to 121 HP (90 kW). The GreenLine version will get a 1.6L TDI with 90 HP (66 kW), burning just 3.8L of fuel every 100 km (74.3 mpg UK / 61.8 mpg US) and emitting 99 g/km of CO2. The model will be unveiled in September in Frankfurt and it will go on sale a month later.
