The Japanese based automaker Honda has just published the first official images with the new generation of the Jazz / Fit.
The 2014 Honda Jazz, or Fit as it is known in some markets, is going official after a lot of images have leaked over these past few weeks. Rumors are saying that the Euro-spec version of the Jazz will get a different design which might adopt some features from the Civic compact. The new-gen Honda Jazz has received an 80mm longer wheelbase, which is translated into 65mm more legroom for the rear passengers.
The interior design of the car has been inspired from the new Civic generation and it now gets a touch-sensitive climate control panel, a large circular speedometer with digital displays on each side, new air vents, new center console and, of course, a new dashboard. As for the engine lineup, the new generation of the Honda Jazz will receive a 1.3 liter four-cylinder, in the entry-grade, while higher grade versions will receive a 1.5 liter unit. Gearboxes available will be the new six-speed manual and a CVT, which will replace the current five-speed manual and automatic transmission. The new generation of the Honda Jazz will make its way onto the market in November.
