The Japanese based automaker Toyota has officially introduced, on its local automotive market, a new special edition of the GT 86 sports car, called the 86 14R60.
According to the car manufacturer, the model in question has been inspired by the 86 Griffon Concept and it has received an aggressive body kit which includes the modified front and rear bumpers, the extended fender flares, the different side skirts, the carbon fiber roof, canards, rear diffuser, rear wing and so on. The model is also coming with the dual exhaust system and it is now riding on 18-inch forged magnesium wheels.
As far as the cabin goes, there we can find lightweight sport seats, Alcantara wrapped steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, orange contrast stitching, special floor mats, TRD branded sill plates and so on. As far as the engine goes, the same 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit can be found under its hood. This has received the high flow air filter, the optimized air intake and the auxiliary oil cooler but despite this it is still rated at 200 HP (147 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, being connected to an upgraded six-speed manual transmission. The Toyota 86 14R16 will be produced in 100 units and each one will cost 6,300,000 YEN, or the equivalent of almost 46,000 EUR.
