Mercedes A Class goes for in-house tuning, gains new AMG body kit image

Mercedes-AMG has announced its latest addition in the lineup is a dynamic body kit that will become available to certain variations of the recently refreshed A Class compact range.

The pack comes first and foremost with four attachment parts for the body while a set of side strips will go a long way to complete the sporty look. The add-on parts consist of a front splitter (up for grabs as a separate piece for 470 euros), side-sill extensions (€790), rear apron trim with diffuser-look (€470), and additional rear flics (€185). The sporty stripes alone will set the owner back an additional €200. All these body parts have been produced through thermoforming technology and feature as standard a glossy black finish. Mercedes-AMG even mentions they developed the in-house aftermarket parts with a careful consideration towards assembly – which should be a breeze. These parts will be available on the A250 Sport (4MATIC) and all A Class versions that use the AMG Line specification. All prices are for Germany.

Mercedes-AMG has also tipped it has in the works such body kits for the upcoming C Class Cabriolet and CLA facelift, with availability starting in June. By the way, the CLA refresh isn’t even official yet, but since AMG spilled the beans we’re certain the introduction will follow shortly. With so many spotlights on the Geneva Show starting next week, we’re pretty sure Mercedes will keep the CLA and GLA facelifts for a later date.
