The German automaker has released an extensive picture gallery with its new Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe and also decided to deliver the full specs ahead of the model’s debut later in September during the Frankfurt motor show.
Showcased next to the equally new C-Class Coupe, the C63 bares the same familiar design save for a more dynamic front end, complete with aggressive bumper, updated grille and new hood.
There’s also a spoiler on the trunk and lightweight alloy wheels complete with high-performance braking system. We also get the AMG brand on the grille and a rear diffuser with a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system. The interior has not been detailed much, and we can see it uses ARTICO / DINAMICA sport seats, a sporty flat bottom steering wheel and AMG badging to remind you drive the performance version.
Under the hood we have the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that sports 476 PS (469 bhp / 349 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque, mated to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission . The setup drives the 0-100 km/h time to four seconds and reaches an electronically-limited speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) – but if you opt for the extra AMG’s Driver’s Package you’ll be able to hit 290 km/h (180 mph).
Then there’s also the C63 S Coupe with an updated rating of the same engine to 510 PS (503 bhp / 375 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The 0-100 km/h sprint is resolved in 3.9 seconds. All that power is tamed by the sport suspension and the AMG-specific rear end with new axle carrier, a wider track and limited-slip rear differential. The C63 S AMG also has dynamic engine mounts and the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with variable damping.
