Mercedes-AMG C63 takes a ride to the gym and ends up sporting 680 hp image

The sporty version of the C Class midsize executive sedan is already a pretty beefy option for any CEO out there but if you’re looking to stand out at the Christmas party you’ll need the Vath version.

The German tuner house VATH has decided that some work can be done on the factory available Mercedes-AMG C63 and thus enabled a whole new power level. By the way, the modern sleeper term is also here already (we’re treated to so many niches that we’re not counting anymore, so hec, why not) and the C63 is in this segment. That’s because the only visual cues you’re not dealing with a regular C63 S are the unique wheel setup and the slightly lower height. But if you’ll encounter it on the street you’ll soon notice it has more under the hood – Vath has massaged the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine to deliver 600 hp (448 kW) and 598 lb-ft (810 Nm) of torque if you’re going to pay $4,291 / €3,950 (+ $380 / €350 for the garage work). This initial setup will deliver an increased top speed to an unrestricted 199 mph (320 km/h).

But if you’re really looking to break the barrier you’ll go for the higher setup – the V 63 RS kit will bring optimized turbochargers and a new down pipe into the mix and deliver 680 hp (500 kW). The model will also need the lowering kit for the suspension which makes it sit closer to the ground by as much as 1.5 inches (40 mm) – and this one costs a dime (365 euros). The bespoke wheels can be had in either silver or black hues and will be 20 inch wide and shod in 255/30 ZR20 front and 275/30 ZR20 rear tires.
