Nicknamed the “CC 63 S, ” this Mercedes sedan turned blazing fast locomotive was actually a pretty standard Mercedes-AMG C 63S – but then tuner Carlsson decided to have a go at the internal and exterior packaging.
Of course, in order to make the CC 63 S just as fast as the nimbler AMG GT S sports coupe, the aftermarket specialist first attacked the biturbo 4.0-liter V8 to massage some 115 horsepower (86 kilowatts) and 92 pound-feet (125 Newton-meters) of torque more for a total of 625 hp (466 kW) and 608 lb-ft (825 Nm). That being said, the fresh take on the C 63S will be going for the 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in 3.8 seconds – which is just as fast as the MG GT S. Carlsson hasn’t expressed any concerns about the maximum speed – so it might remain capped at 155 mph (250 kph) or at 180 mph (290 kph) if the owner also specifies the optional AMG Driver’s Package.
The CS 63 S was not complete until the tuner refreshed the exterior looks as well – the aerodynamic body kit featuring numerous carbon fiber parts such as a custom lip spoiler attached onto the bumper, complete with canards and new air vent surrounds. At the back the CC 63 S is adorned with a new spoiler on the trunk lid, as well as a modified diffuser with black chrome quad tips thanks to the new stainless steel exhaust system with manual valve control.
