In case you love any automaker’s limited series we can easily tell you Japan is the best place to live – Mercedes is the latest to provide such exclusive perks to the Land of the Rising Sun.

We recently saw the Star Wars edition for the CLA 180 that celebrated Star Wars Day on May 4 and now we get news of another Japan exclusivity. This time around it’s something a bit more serious, with Mercedes Japan working out an exclusive special edition for customers in the country in the form the Mercedes-AMG G63 50th Anniversary Edition. It comes to honor AMG’s years of official existence in Japan and features a limited production run of just 50 examples. The off-roader comes with a Mauritius Blue metallic exterior, with the bumpers, roof, fenders, mirrors, and side trim painted gloss black for a measure of contrast. The dark look is complimented by the set of 20-inch AMG five-spoke wheels.
